Story!

if I were me
Quantum Kiss has put up "The Wedding Dress Tea Parties of 2443," my Regency-in-space, my somewhat-screwball, very-comedy-of-manners novelette.

Totally loved it--in fact, so much so that I'm directing other people to it as well. When I have time I want to read the archived one as well.

You create some very likeable characters. I loved every single one of them--not just Lydia and Captain Amstall (whom I kept on thinking of as Captain Amistad--sorry!!) but also Lydia's foster parents, Kaspar, Raoul--everyone.

And, as with "The Girl Prince," I really loved your science-fictional details.

Thanks for a great tale!

That story is so very you that I could hear you reading it aloud in my head.

And yeah, I really enjoyed it. The biggest overlap between our tastes probably lies in comedies of manners.

*grin*

I'm kind of pleased that I've managed to write something with so much of my personal voice all over it.

Oh, how thoroughly enjoyable! I started reading and couldn't stop, darn you! Loved your horsemad Lydia and her agoraphobia and the green roses and clever world and the quite satisfying romance! Utterly charming. My thanks.

God, I started writing it like a BAJILLION years ago. Cripes. *stares in awe backward at all that time*

2004?

I read your story over lunch today, and WOW! You have a sly and subtle sense of humor, and it worked beautifully in this story. Absolutely fabulous!
